Myeloproliferative Disorders

The MyeloProliferative Disorders (MPD) are a group of related diseases of the marrow, sharing the common feature of over-production (proliferation) of a marrow cell line, leading to increased numbers of cells in the blood. Some people go on to develop features of another MPD, transform to acute leukaemia, or sometimes "burn out". Click the disease to read further information.
